My practice focuses on a silent dialogue between my pieces and the viewer and wearer. What fascinates me is how everyday objects, in each of their forms and shapes, can reveal a transformation and personality yet to be discovered. All objects and materials contain within themselves a story which is worth being told.

Carla Movia (born in 1989 in Trieste, Italy) is a contemporary jewellery maker currently based in Florence. She holds a BFA (2014) and MFA (2016) in Contemporary Jewellery and Body Ornament from Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence tutored by Dutch artists Ruudt Peters and Lucy Sarneel. She is currently working as an independent jewellery artist in Trieste.
